Appointment adds experienced medtech leadership as Pharaoh Neuro advances development of its Neurapheresis™ CSF Management platform
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — July 23, 2026 — Pharaoh Neuro, Inc., a medical device company developing innovative solutions for neurocritical care, today announced the appointment of Mike Blue to its Board of Directors. Blue brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in medical devices and will support the company’s board and leadership team as it advances development of its novel Neurapheresis™ Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Management platform and prepares for the US relaunch of the MindsEye™ minimally-invasive cranial access port. His appointment adds seasoned operating and governance perspective at a time when Pharaoh Neuro is expanding its strategic capabilities across product development and long-term commercialization planning.
Blue currently serves as Chairman and CEO of HistoSonics. Since joining in 2017, he has led the company through multiple clinical, regulatory, and commercial milestones, in addition to a number of significant financing events. Prior to HistoSonics, Blue held senior leadership roles at NeuWave Medical, acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2016, and superDimension, acquired by Covidien (MDT) in 2012, where he led the commercialization and growth of innovative medtech platforms in high-acuity care settings and developed a track record of moving novel technologies from early platform promise to broad clinical adoption and organizational growth.
“Mike brings the combination of visionary leadership, commercialization perspective, and operating experience that matters at this stage of Pharaoh’s development,” said Amaza Reitmeier, Chief Executive Officer of Pharaoh Neuro. “His experience leading HistoSonics through the journey of developing and launching a novel platform technology and establishing a new therapy category is invaluable as we seek to transform care for people suffering from conditions that today have poor treatment options.”
As the neurocritical care field evolves, Pharaoh Neuro is advancing Neurapheresis™, a novel CSF Management System designed to accelerate the natural healing process through closed-loop CSF filtration. Through this work, Pharaoh Neuro is establishing Active CSF Filtration as a new category in neurocritical care. “Pharaoh is at a critical and exciting stage in its journey – one that reminds me a lot of HistoSonics when I first joined,” said Blue. “They are developing an innovative platform with the potential to transform the treatment of neurocritical care patients, supported by compelling science and visionary leadership. I'm excited to join the Board and work alongside this incredible team as they build a category-defining company and bring this important technology to patients around the world.”
Blue’s appointment builds on a year of momentum and further strengthens the company’s board as Pharaoh Neuro continues to build the leadership, operating discipline and strategic oversight needed for its next phase of growth. The company expects his perspective to be particularly relevant as it prepares for future scale and continues shaping its position within the evolving neurocritical care landscape.
“We were looking for someone with passion for patient care, skill navigating the path to market for new platform technology, and demonstrated success in today’s complex capital markets,” said Jeff Terrell, Partner at Arboretum Ventures. “It’s tough to imagine a better fit than Mike. We’re thrilled to have him on board to partner with the expert team at Pharaoh.”
