Dr. Nandan Lad​

Overview
Dr. Nandan Lad is a neurosurgeon, scientist, and serial entrepreneur focused on neuromodulation and neurorestoration. He serves as Professor and Vice Chair of Innovation for Duke Neurosurgery, where he directs the Functional & Restorative Neuromodulation Program and the Duke NeuroInnovations Program.

As co-inventor of the Neurapheresis platform, Dr. Lad has led the scientific development of Pharaoh Neuro’s technology from concept through clinical trials. His research focuses on the intersection of cerebrospinal fluid physiology, neuromodulation, and computational approaches to brain health.
Dr. Lad has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications and has extensive experience translating laboratory discoveries into clinical applications. He has founded multiple companies and serves as a scientific advisor to several neurotechnology ventures.

Dr. Lad earned his MD/PhD from Chicago Medical School and completed his neurosurgery residency at Stanford University. He is board-certified in neurological surgery with subspecialty expertise in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery.
